Following the announcement of Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla's pregnancy, fans and netizens alike eagerly awaited her parent�s � Robin Padilla and Liezl Sicangco � reactions about the sudden revelation.
The 24-year-old actress is now engaged to fellow Kapuso actor Aljur Abrenica, the father of the baby she's carrying.
In an interview with PEP.ph, the two disclosed the story of how they relayed the big news to Kylie's parents.
Kylie shared that she first told her mom, Liezl, who is now based in Queensland, Australia.
�The day na nag-pregnancy test ako, that day mismo, I had taping, tapos tumawag ako sa nanay ko. Sabi ko, �Ma...� wala pa akong sinsabi, naiyak na ako. Sabi ko, �Ma, I�m pregnant. Anong gagawin ko?�� She shared.
�Tapos, ang unang-unang sinabi ni Mama, �Basta, anak, huwag mong ipapalaglag �yan.� Siyempre, alam naman ni Mama sa showbiz, e. Sabi ko, �Opo.� Tapos, yun.� She added.
As per her dad, Robin Padilla, the 'Encantadia' actress said that revealing the news to him was a funny experience.
�Si Papa, nakakatawa yun, kasi nag-dinner kami. Tapos, yun, nagtatanong na siya kung gusto ko na bang mag-asawa, kasi may nagsabi na yata sa kanya na engaged na kami, e. Tapos, sabi ko, �Uhm, I�m ready myself, Pa.� So, nagkuwento na siya about that, about getting married. Tapos, biglang sabi ko, �Pa, may sasabihin pa ako sa �yo.�� She shared.
She relayed that Robin answered her with a chuckle: "Ano yun, anak? Buntis ka, 'no?"

Aljur also contacted Kylie's mom personally.

However, he hasn�t had the chance to talk to Robin yet. Aljur said that he respects the decision of Kylie's dad, who is still not ready to talk to him.
